Health Care Worker

Hourly Wage:            $22.85-25.86

Location:                    Veterans Memorial Lodge – Saanich

Position / Schedule:   Float, Set A, 11:00pm-7:00am, 4/2 shift rotation, (1.00 FTE)

                                   Float, Set B, 11:00pm-7:00am, 4/2 shift rotation, (1.00 FTE)

Status:                       Regular Full-Time

Comp #                      2020-50a

 

DUTIES:

Under supervision, to carry out duties related to the day-to-day care residents. Duties include: carrying out routine tasks related to the personal care of residents, such as bathing, dressing, feeding, bed-making; carrying out basic charting and maintaining other record keeping systems; participating in the development and maintenance of care plans; assisting residents in activities of daily living; participating in activities and programs to enhance the social, recreational, mental and physical functioning of residents; performing other related duties. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be registered with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
  • Health Care Aide or community support worker certificate from a reputable College or Agency
  • Valid Food Safe Certificate
  • Must be eligible to work with vulnerable children & adults under the BC Criminal Record Review program
  • Negative TB Screen
