Homewood Ravensview is a private 75-bed mental health, trauma and addiction facility offering evidence-based, medically-led, inpatient services for first responders, military, veterans, executives & professionals, adults, and young adults. As a Finance Administrator, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers.
What you’ll be doing
• Responsible for all accounts receivable functions for the facility including invoicing, payments, cash applications, and collections
• Coordinate the collection of financial information and make payment arrangements with patients
• Provide customer receipts and handle any billing inquiries
• Complete journal entries to ensure revenue is assigned to correct accounting period
• Prepare and complete daily documentation for physician billing
• Submit monthly medical billings to MSP
• Reconcile submissions with payments and problem-solve any rejections
• Complete general banking transactions and resulting journal entries
• Oversee timekeeping and transfer information to payroll
• Collect purchase orders from managers and place weekly orders
• Ensure all invoices are forwarded to Accounts Payable group in Guelph
• Support other administration roles as required
What we’re looking for
• Completion of a post-secondary education in Business, Accounting or Finance
• One year accounting or finance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
• Strong accounting skills and knowledge of finance and administration
• Ability to utilize computerized accounting systems
• Ability to organize and prioritize the work assignments in order to meet objectives and deadlines
• Ability to prepare reports on various administrative, financial and/or operational matters
• Detail oriented with superior skills working with numbers
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools, i.e., Excel, Word
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills required
